First time D&D player. Was looking for a way to keep my character sheet, abilities, backstory, session notes, etc. in a single, easy-to-access location while I'm at the table. While digital systems and platforms are convenient, there's something about having a tangible notebook that makes sessions feel more personal, connected, and alive. As a new player who's never played before, the amount of information and mechanics in D&D can feel overwhelming at times, and I was finding myself having to open a new tab over here or flip open a manual over there in order to look something up; having a notebook is incredibly helpful for keeping that regularly accessed information in one clean, organized location. I had a specific idea of what I was looking for but was not comfortable as a first-timer creating my own system. Kylie's done a fantastic job creating a system that feels detailed and organized but also flexible, and I really appreciate the work she's put in to tailoring that system even further with her individual class focused packs. I ordered the D&D 5e Player's Notebook (Classic), and I love it. The half-letter size gives plenty of room for notes while feeling compact, and the discbound system is great, allowing the notebook to lay flat while giving the added flexibility and customization of being able to rearrange pages as you see fit. I plan to keep a journal from my character's perspective, including letters from other NPCs he's encountered, so I bought a Classic Styled Refill Pack of just plain, lined paper, though Kylie does have various style and content packs available. I also bought the tab stickers for even more convenient access to specific sections. I have only one, minor critique, which does not at all detract from the quality of the product. On the character sheet page where the Ability Score boxes are located, the word "Dexterity" is cut off and appears as "Dexter-". Again, though, I love this product and have been jotting notes and filling it out nonstop in anticipation of my group's next session. Thank you, Kylie! I know running a small business is no simple feat, but your passion shows through in your work, and I was blown away at how quickly everything was prepared, shipped, and delivered.
