Make your own tokens to use at the table. These are easy and cheap and just as effective as more expensive minis.
What You Need:

- A printer and paper (unless you have a physical copy of the Everyday Dragons Magazine Jan 2025 Issue)
- 1 glue stick (or super glue)
- Scissors
- 1 inch circle hole punch: https://amzn.to/4h4X290
- 1 inch epoxy circle stickers: https://amzn.to/401lthx
- 1 in circle plastic tokens: https://amzn.to/4eH6IoJ (Note: these are what we use in the photos. They have a small ridge around the edge that can make it hard to line up the images. This didn’t bother us, but if you want something more precise, opt for one of the following options.)
- Alternatively, you could try these bottle caps; this one comes with the epoxy stickers! https://amzn.to/486zv3q
- or these magnets https://amzn.to/401H0Xv
- or these wood pieces: https://amzn.to/3U5FOic
Optional: Print the token images on sticker paper to skip the gluing step!
The Steps
- Print out the token sheet (see next page). Optionally you can gather your player’s character photos and print those. Just be sure that the images are only 1 inch in size. We also recommend head shots only for these tiny images. These also work best if printed in color with images that have high contrast.
- Use scissors to trim the paper so that you can fit your 1” hole punch over the images and icons.
- Use the circle hole punch to punch out each icon or image. Tip: make sure the icons are centered by peeking at the bottom of your hole punch.
- Glue the image to the token. If you opted for sticker sheets, you can easily peel the back to adhere the image.
- Stick the epoxy sticker on the front of each token. Press firmly (we recommend holding it tightly for about 15-30 seconds to ensure it adheres well).
Notes
These are for 1 inch or medium sized monsters. If you would like, you can also invest in larger sized tokens to represent larger monsters. Look for 2 inch discs to represent larger monsters.
If you opted for wood tokens you might also consider painting or staining them! You would want to do that before adhering the images to them. Be sure to let the stain or paint dry (preferably overnight) to ensure the images stick!
